It’s decision day for one of John Calipari and Arkansas basketball’s top targets in the 2026 recruiting class. Abdou Toure, a four-star forward and the No. 37 overall player in the cycle, will announce his decision later today and will choose from a final three of the Razorbacks, Providence and UConn.
The 6-5, 200-pound forward narrowed his interest list down to just those three after originally considering Florida State, Louisville, Maryland and Oregon as well. Toure put together arguably one of the most impressive summers of anyone in the 2026 cycle playing for BABC on the Adidas 3SSB grassroots circuit. He averaged 15.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.4 steals per game on 56.8% shooting from the field and 37.5% shooting from deep.
Toure is long, strong, aggressive, and one of the most explosive athletes in the country,” said 247Sports Director of Scouting Adam Finkelstein. “He’s an exceptional leaper who rises up quickly and with immense force. He’s dynamic in transition and a major lob threat. He has good burst off the bounce, can absorb contact, and rises up into mid-range pull-ups.”
