First Alert Weather Days return Friday and this weekend with scattered showers and thunderstorms back in the forecast for Las Vegas.
A low-pressure system currently spinning off the California coast will be moving over our area through the weekend. This system is a slow mover, sticking around through Sunday.
Friday’s showers and thunderstorms are expected to be isolated, before increasing rain chances this weekend. Right now it looks like showers will move into the Northeast corner of Clark County by mid-morning with Las Vegas Valley chances increasing for the early and mid afternoon. On-and-off showers and thunderstorms will be in the area for Saturday afternoon and Sunday. Along with the increased shower chances, high temperatures are falling back into the mid-to-low 80s this weekend.
Slight shower and storm chances will persist into early next week, extending through Tuesday. High temperatures hold in the 80s with cooler mornings in the 60s.
