Power outage affects over 1,200 customers in Bakersfield and Oildale

Power outage affects over 1,200 customers in Bakersfield and Oildale

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — More than 1,200 customers were without power in central and northwest Bakersfield, and Oildale Sunday afternoon.

According to the PG&E’s outage page, the outage was from Rosedale Hwy. to El Tejon Ave. Neighborhoods near Hwy. 99 and Airport Dr. in this area were impacted.

The outage impacted 1,219 customers in total.

PG&E said a team evaluated the electrical system to identify damaged sections and made necessary repairs to safely turn the power back on.

Power returned around 4:45 p.m.
