Scorching temperatures make Friday the hottest day of the year in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Temperature gauges at Kansas City International Airport say Friday was the hottest day of the year in Kansas City.

At KCI, temperatures reached 97 degrees Friday afternoon.

The temperature rise comes after several weeks of a fall-like feeling. Now, a “second summer” has arrived.
