The New York Lottery says there were three second-prize tickets sold for the Powerball drawing on Wednesday, August 27. One ticket, worth $1 million, was sold at Crosby’s on East Fairmount Ave in Lakewood, Chautauqua County.
The winning numbers for Aug. 27 are 09-12-22-41-61 and Powerball 25.
The Powerball winning numbers are drawn from a field of 1 to 69. The drawing happens every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.

An East Northport resident has collected a $1 million prize from the New York Lottery’s “$1,000,000 Gold” scratch-off game.
Francis Cangemi received a single lump-sum payment totaling $670,000, after required withholdings. Cangemi purchased the winning ticket at Half Off Cards of Selden, at 49 College Plaza, Lottery officials said on their website.
Half Off Cards took to social media to proclaim the victor’s prize, with a banner saying “Top prize winner sold here!”
Three $1 million prizes remain to be claimed on the “$1,000,000 Gold” ticket, which costs $5 to purchase, according to the state’s website. Players may check the status of any New York Lottery scratch-off game by downloading the Game Report here.
