0

Defensive tackle Jordan Phillips is reportedly set for another stint with the Bills.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that Phillips visited with the team on Sunday and that he is expected to sign with them this week. There’s no word on if Phillips is slated for a spot on the 53-man roster or on the practice squad.

Phillips played 28 games for the Bills in 2018 and 2019 and then returned to play 26 more in 2022 and 2023. He opened last season with the Cowboys before returning to play seven regular season games and all three playoff contests for Buffalo.

Phillips has 90 tackles, 13.5 sacks, an interception, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery in his regular season time with the Bills. He has four tackles and a sack in five playoff appearances.

Bills Expected To Sign DT Jordan Phillips

Tom Pelissero reports that the Bills are expected to sign veteran DT Jordan Phillips later this week after a successful workout with the team.

This will be Phillips’ fourth stint with the Bills in his career, as he has played there for parts of five seasons.

Phillips, 32, is a former second-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2015. He was waived in the final year of his four-year, rookie contract and later claimed by the Bills.

After three seasons in Buffalo, Phillips signed a three-year, $30 million contract with the Cardinals. He was released after two seasons and returned to Buffalo.

From there, Phillips signed a one-year contract with the Giants. However, he was traded to the Cowboys for a conditional pick at the end of the preseason before re-joining the Bills once more.

In 2024, Phillips appeared in two games for the Cowboys and recorded one tackle. He also appeared in seven games for the Bills and recorded five tackles and an interception.

We will have more on Phillips as it becomes available.

Provocação ao Corinthians

Atenção, Vascaínos! @AVascainos

Browns cut Pro Bowl QB as Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel await roster decision

0

The Browns had five active quarterbacks competing for roster spots this preseason. The only one to ever make a Pro Bowl is now gone. Cleveland announced on Sunday they are releasing Tyler Huntley, who was added in early August because of injuries in the QB room.

Huntley, who made the Pro Bowl in 2022, went 17-of-22 for 129 yards in three preseason appearances. He wasn’t bad by any means but with Cleveland’s loaded quarterback room he had a slim chance to make the final roster. Now the focus will turn to the future of rookies like Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Browns have been planning to keep both rookies, starter Joe Flacco, and Kenny Pickett on the final 53-man roster.

It’s a heavy investment on the position but it’s what the team signed up for when they drafted two gunslingers and traded for another.

But with Huntley out of the picture it’s one less concern for a team who dominates headlines with QB controversy.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — With rumors swirling that the Browns will trade Kenny Pickett or waive Shedeur Sanders, the Browns have never wavered in their plan to keep all four QBs.

That means that Joe Flacco, Pickett, Dillon Gabriel and Sanders will all still be on the 53-man roster when the cuts are made Tuesday by 4 p.m.

Iliman Ndiaye scored the last Premier League goal at Goodison Park, and now he has the first at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

And it all came from Jack Grealish’s cross-moment because it actually came against the run of play.

A huge roar swept around this huge stadium when that went in. Grealish loved that as much as Ndiaye.
