Salad mix recalled in 25 states, including Ohio

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A salad kit that was sold in 25 states, including Ohio, was recalled due to the presence of an undeclared ingredient.

According to a release from the Food and Drug Administration, salad kits sold by Taylor Farms were recalled due to the inclusion of incorrect dressing and toppings manufactured by Latitude 36. The salad kit in question, the 8 ounce Honey Balsamic Salad Kit, was supposed to include a Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing, but instead came with Asian Sesame Ginger dressing.

The Asian Sesame Ginger dressing included sesame and soy, two major allergens that were not declared on the bag because of the accidental inclusion.

The organization recommended customers who purchased the item throw it away or return it to the location of purchase for a refund.

Robert “Bobby” Lee Thornton Obituary August 25, 2025

Robert “Bobby” Lee Thornton, age 80, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025 at the North MS Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. 

Bobby was born on October 27, 1944 to the late Ben and Sally Wolfe Thornton in Sardis, MS. He was an educator most of his life, receiving his master’s degree in education. Bobby taught school in Sardis and then went on to retire in DeSoto County. 

Bobby was also a proud veteran. He honorably served our country in the United States Army. 

The family he leaves behind includes his wife, Lacey Thornton; and his three children, Robert Thornton, Jr., Holly Bailey, and Matthew Thornton. 

At this time, there will be no services held for Bobby.

The Philadelphia Eagles rounded out their practice squad on Thursday, signing wide receiver Britain Covey, defensive back Marcus Epps, and offensive tackle Luke Felix-Fualalo. With the moves, the squad now sits at 17 players, thanks to Felix-Fualalo’s International Player Exemption.

Epps, who played for the Eagles from 2019–22 and started during their Super Bowl run, returns after stints with the Raiders and Patriots. Covey, one of the NFL’s top punt returners in 2023 with 417 yards, re-joins the Birds after spending the offseason with the Rams.

Felix-Fualalo, a Brisbane native who played at Hawaii, went undrafted in 2025 before signing with Seattle this summer.
